A letter from Dean...
Your Kitchen Store will close its doors by May 31st with closing sales beginning May 1st. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve this community we love, the Monadnock Region and the tri-state area. We are proud of the reputation we have enjoyed for offering quality merchandise and excellent customer service. We are especially proud of our reputation for giving back to the community in which we live and which we love - from cooking weekly hot meals for the homeless to donating time, talent, dollars and merchandise to schools, medical needs, theater and the arts, social and service clubs, animal causes, violence prevention, farmers markets and so much more, virtually every local cause. We donated window space on Main St to a different local non-profit every month. We have encouraged volunteerism by word and example. All of our staff volunteer in the community. Your Kitchen Store led the "shop local" movement from the moment we opened our doors. Now 24 years later, as we exit, we stress again the importance of small locally owned businesses to the well-being of the community and to the sense of community. Once again I thank you for letting us serve you. The pleasure has indeed been ours. While i am grateful to all of my staff, I must single out store manager Shannon Hundley and associates Janet Barber and Allen Raymond for their extraordinary devotion to me and to you. I finish, as always, by reminding you -and please hear it - BUYING LOCALLY OWNED AND LOCALLY GROWN BUILDS A BETTER COMMUNITY.
Grace and Peace
